New Spec Ops mission[]

In the Flag Runner vid the SCAR-H has 20 round mags. The SCAR-L is the one with the 30 round mags. Jewfrohero 00:14, October 28, 2009 (UTC)

Third Person Confirmed[]

Don't know if this was added yet. I've been sick lately (feel like shit), so forgive me.

Infinity Ward Community Manager Robert Bowling has confirmed the 3rd person perspective to Joystiq, saying "It's not something you can toggle on and off in ANY game. The special mode can only be played in private matches -- toggled on or off just like "Hardcore" settings -- or in playlists that are designated for third-person play," he said. "This is just another cool way to play the game, you obviously will still have the option to play gametypes normal as well." IGN followed up with Bowling confirming the accuracy of that report. - IGN

Playable Characters box (SPOILER)[]

I just looked on the playable character box and i saw on the MW2 section: Sgt. Gary "Roach" Sanderson and Unknown Ultranationalist??? Are you going to play as a Ultranationalist soldier and become a traitor and work with Task Force 141? But it could be the epilogue of MW2. It would be good though. Someone got the game early and leaked footage of the level "Team player", the level is the terrorist attack on the Russian airport. As for the unknown ultranationalist, he's only in one level, never part of TF 141. OmgHAX! 13:14, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

Stackable killstreaks[]

I picked this up with my sneaky eyes. I bet we've covered this before, but just in case. On the Afghan footage vid, once the guy uses a care package, a spinning UAV symbol appeared. This leads me to believe that killstreaks now stack. Thank the Lord. 15:53, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

Airport Mission (SPOILER)[]

The name of the mission his playing is Pas de russe, which is the French of No Russian, so Team Player isn't the real title of the mission in the Airport. Team Player is after S.S.D.D (labelled in French, Travail D'Equipe). The real name of the airport mission is problably No Russian, but its strange it isn't seen in the achivements. SMG097Hardcore

Renamed the section title. It's interesting having to play "the Other Side" for once. Good to see the layout is similar to Call of Duty 4. Although the thing on top says CIA Informant (?). Also the regular MP5 with a 203 Grenade Launcher is used in this level, should I add to the weapons list? FYI Makarov is in this level, shown speaking with the subtitles.

M249 SAW[]

During the beginning of leaked footage of the Airport Mission, when they begin shooting, I can hear the familiar buzzing sound of the SAW. It's unmissable if you know the sound. The link is above. It could be in-game. 17:20, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

Theory on SPOILER[]

Hey everyone. Just felt like posting my theory on why the undercover agent is killing civies. It may seem like "You've watched too many movies" but think about it. What if the one way for the agent to appear as a terrorist was to, sadly, go along with Makarov's (Please correct my spelling at will) plan? But how the police know is what gets me. Maybe the C.I.A warned the Russians of the attack, and informed them about the agent? I dunno. Anyway, feel free to rip apart my theory as you see fit. StolenRequiem 20:57, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

Have you ever whatched 24 or some sort of fbi show? people have to do that stuff undercover all the time because if the C.I.A. agent didnt kill civies, it would look very susitous. And the cops didnt know about it because they tried to kill the C.I.A. agent. And somebody probably called the police

GameStop/EB Games Midnight[]

New G4 videos[]

G4 put up a bunch of new vids. Some other stuff confirmed. EOTech will be exactly the same as the RDS (same reticule and everything), it just looks different on the outside (nice to see them implementing more appearance customization, although I think it looks too big on most guns and the CoD4 EOTech looked better). The AC-130 Spec Ops level is called Overwatch, and on Regular you only get 1/3 of the map, 2/3 on Hardened, and all of it on Veteran. SCAR-H spotted again. I think this is going to be my favorite gun. EDIT: the Riot Sheild and its very sensuous melee hit is in the video video also. Dual Desert Eagles are at 6:17.

Second vid: Todd Alderman said that if you used the Noob Tube/Nub Tub, you will unlock a different attachment of that same style. I love how the IW execs pause between alot of words. (Bord, I know your a proof nazi. Ill post exactly what he said if you want me to.)

I can only speculate what he meant by unlocking different attachments. Seems to suggest you can get a different model, i.e. an EOTech over a Trijicon RDS, a M320 over M203. etc. OmgHAX! 02:29, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

Camouflage[]

In the leaked videos, there is a Perk 3 that was either called Camouflage or translates directly to Camouflage from French to English (I don't remember which). It is probably a ghillie suit. Bling Pro Confirmed[]

I was expecting this, but at least its definite now. Which leads me to the conclusion that if you got akimbo machine pistols, wouldn't that make an RDS attachment useless? OmgHAX! 19:32, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

You could still use something like extended mag/silencers, extended mag/full metal jacket (if FMJ is available for machine pistols anyway), etc, so yes RDS would be useless with akimbo, but I wouldn't say bling itself would be useless with akimbo. WouldYouKindly 19:41, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

At the beginning of the Infamy trailer, when it shows the game rating by esrb, one of the points says "Drug References." does makarov say "remember, no russian" in this level? if he does, could this mean that he is trying to appear as a foreigner in russia and possibly frame the job as being done by americans? this makes sense if he is trying to gain support for his cause (as in "look what america did they kill civilians come to my side")

One of two things is probably going to happen down there. 1: The airport mission will be cut entirely or changed into a short cutscene. 2: The game will be "refused classification" (A.G. The article says MW2 "promotes terrorism." Wow, these people are deluded, misinformed, and ultra-biased. What's the difference between this and, say, something like "The Sum of All Fears"? I think what pissed me off the most was Atkinson saying violent games harm kids because I actually wrote a term paper on the effects of violent videogames. The only thing found was that it may cause a slight increase in aggression, but nothing that would turn them into serial killers. I feel sorry for you Austrailia guys; seems like you have your own Jack Thompson, but your own is in a real position of power. Hopefully this will work itself out. Meh, JT isn't really relevant anymore. He got disbarred in Florida last year, and after the kinds of stuff he's done, he doesn't really have a snowball's chance in Hell of being able to practice law in any other states. Afghan Walkthrough & more confirmations[]

This (Spoilers) is a vid showing around the map Afghan. It confirms that the Ninja perk is immunity to heartbeat sensors. It also confirms a new death streak called Final Stand (which is probably like Last Stand), a new 2nd tier perk called Danger Close (which is like Sonic Boom), and a 3rd tier perk called SitRep, which has a description of "Insertions". This can't be the complete MP list of weapons. I mean, we KNOW stuff like the Mini-Uzi and SVD are in the game, it wouldn't make sense to not include them in MP. Either they're going to be unlocked with prestige (which, IMO, they could have picked cooler weapons as unlocks), or there's another level of unlocks we haven't seen yet. I'm thinking it might be the latter, since its the same number of guns from the demo and IW said that only showed up to lvl 27. It also seems strange they left out favorites and requested guns like the M40 and MP7.

Thoughts on Dead Silence[]

Although I believe that the lists we recently received are only partial due to the lack of that guy prestiging, I've been thinking about my favorite perk in the game (at least for my favorite game mode, SnD). 25 kills gets you a Tactical Nuke, which kills everyone and ends the game. Kind of stupid, but it will happen so rarely that it hardly matters. I was fairly sure that 402 said kill streak were only going to 15. Nuke sounds like bullshit to me.

Nuke is real. Seems pretty awesome to me, but in a normal Team Deathmatch (which is the most player playlist) it is highly unlikely anyone will get something like that. Ever since I started playing CoD4 online (nearly 18 months ago) I have only ever seen it done 3 times, once by me (spawn killing with a sniper rifle FTW), another guy who was glitching till kingdom come, and a guy who was simply incredible (he actually got up to a 32 killstreak). Not really, for two reasons. 1: When's the last time you saw someone get a 25 kill streak? It's a waste of a killstreak perk slot unless you're glitching, hacking, or just ungodly good. 2: If someone on the other team manages to get a 25 kill streak, your team's probably going to lose anyway, it might as well be quick.
