Gameplay Ideas

Anyone else think that in Modern Warfare 3 in Singleplayer you can choose to be stealthy or run 'n' gun style or be given a opportunity to snipe in the mission or choose how to play the mission out like instead of being ambushed in the end you can divert from the group and ambush them and prevent more casualties. --[SwFT] Deuce 04:00, May 27, 2011 (UTC) I think moder warfare 3 should have 3rd person view it that you can switch from 1st person and 3rd person view with a button or something just let modern warfare be a little more tactical giving the ability to get on walls and you know that socom stuff just to beat it, i also think mw3 should have 4 player splitscreen online. and multiplayer onlne and splitscreen maps should have more objects you can interact with like miniguns or vehicles machines mechanism you know.

New engine

Weapons

Im pretty sure the H&K G36, FN SCAR, Remington ACR, M4, FAMAS, RPD, updated AK47 (made with polymers rather than wood) , Model 1887, FN P90, AA-12, Walther P99, MP5 (probably MP5A2 and MP5SD2 due to fixed butt), UMP40 or UMP45, Skorpion, MP412, M14 EBR, RSASS (Remington Semi-Automatic Sniper System), M82 (Barrett .50 Cal to MW2 players), Striker, M320 GL and the KSG 12 gauge shotgun will be featured in MW3. Can we add confirmed weapons now? Such as the M4A1 and MP5? They both appeared in the trailer. Dunno bout the AK-47 tho. In that scene that is most definitly an Ak-103 no doubt in my mind. But in that same scene it appears to almost be an aug a3 in the background probly mistaken. RatedLast

Real AK-47s are incredibly unlikely to be in this game, practically speaking. They're not even being manufactured for the military. For example, the AK-47 from MW2 was most likely an AK-108. And I'm pretty sure the Black Ops AK was an AKM or an AK-74 (although the start appearing in the second level, which is in 1969 or something. Oh well, no criticism here, just a thing to note. Weapons seem to be not in the final stage of development. I just watched the trailer, your character has the new dual scoped m4a1 while the others have the MW2

It is probably Soap Because if you look carefully at the back of his head the shading goes light dark light, indicating a mohawk.

If that is an S.A.S. then the pistol is a P226 the standard issuse sidearm for the S.A.S.

ZOMBIES

There better be zombies. I doubt it though because treyarch does that. But To be honest MW2 sucked because of no zombies. Spec Ops was the dumbest thing they came up with. In the trailer I saw a Striker APC, T90, Lepold 2, Mi24 Hinds, F22 Raptors, and various other vehicles. There should be a section for vehicles.

Possible Ghost

He wasn't set on fire. There was a video that showed him not being set on fire and the shot went to his chest not head. BTW there was/is rumors that ghost will be in MW3.

And even then, the fire behind ghost is only a lighting effect to make it look beter. If it were in real life, you wouldn't throw a burning cigarette on a person covered in petroleum (Or whatever the hell it was and have the flames kick up 10 feet away. So Ghost WAS lit on fire. "Gendarmerie" also refers to the regular police. It would make sense for police vehicles to be present on the streets of a war-torn country, they've been in the MW2 and BOps single player campaign. C0N71NG3NCY 16:49, May 27, 2011 (UTC)

There is Police too. Gendarmes are found in rural or perurban places , they are militaries with police duties while Policemen are not, and are found in urban area.

For the interventions groups, the GIPN (police) stays in France, the GIGN acts in France and other countries if needed like in Algeria in 1994 or VIP protection. There is a game from DAVILEX with "them" but in Britain, it's with the SAS, certainly SWAT in US (or not).

Anyway, don't mind who is who , just don't be drunk while driving^^.

Ghost survived?

I don't care if you say he died, but I am just saying what I think, but when the trailer goes to England, the two soldiers firing, one of them is wearing a gas mask, whilst the other isn't. And the one who doesn't has a similiar (if not the same) headphones that Ghost had. He was shot in the chest with a .44 magnum, then doused with gasoline (it should be noted that he is completely lifeless by this point with his eyes having absolutely no focus), then lit on fire. So even if, magically speaking, he survived all that, he'd be suffering third degree burns with a HUGE bullet hole in his chest, probably a sucking wound. Oh and he's in a safehouse somewhere in Russia, while Nikolai, Soap and Price (his only allies at this point) are in Afghanistan, so they wouldn't be helping him any time soon. He's dead. Get over it.

I have 2 things.

1. The XM25 has been confirmed as a new weapon in a USA Today newspaper article. I'll have pics momentarily.

If you read, you will see that "Players will be rewarded with an XM25 Airburst grenade launcher.", as well as "A nine-banger that fires off 9 consecutive flashes and lound sound blasts (Flashbang)".

This looks like an M4A1 the most. However, it has the handguard of an M16A2 (Though it is shortened to the M4's handguard length), and the sights look like those of the PWS Diablo, an M4-esque SMG. This gun has a grenade launcher and possibly a suppressor.

This shows a soldier walking on a metal platform, possibly a ship or a submarine, in the NYC harbor. The caption (Not seen in the photo) identifies him as a U.S. Soldier. He seems to be carrying FN SCAR. I cannot tell if it is the H or L variant, but it will most likely be the H variant, due to it's inclusion in MW2.

UMP45?

The picture on the page that claims that UMP45 willl return in game, at least I feel, does not show enough to prove it. That could be an MP5 with a folding stock or a Galil. It could also be the UMP40. We mustn't use the term UMP45 to describe the whole family. It is probably not a UMP9 because of the shape of the the magazine though,

In Wikipedia, it's confirmed that Task Force 141 Captain John "Soap" Mactavish, Ex-SAS Captain Price and Russian Informant "Nikolai" will return to Modern Warfare 3. So will the Russian Ultra-nationalist Vladimir Makarov will return as primary antagonist. Nothing is mentioned about Ghost, however. The game will immediately follow the events of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, where Russia continues its invasion of the United States of America, and has also expanded its offensive to Europe, including England, France and Germany. It has also been reported that the game's finale will be set in the city of Dubai.

Has anyone forgotten! US Army Rangers isn't mentioned is this game. That's wierd. Apparently thy might go to Moscow after Foley's line. But they aren't mentioned, that makes no sense. So Ramierz, Foley and Dunn isn't in this game? Matrixpretty 22:55, May 30, 2011 (UTC)
