Well I'm pretty sure you can't toggle Thermal Black and Thermal White on Chopper Gunner. On AC130 the button used is Square or X but I'm pretty sure this has no effect on Chopper Gunner - Lemme check, brb :D

It says you can change to the standard camera, but is this really possible?

I believe you can toggle between WHOT/BHOT like the AC-130 in Spec-ops and Death From Above, I don't want to change it either though because I may be wrong, It's been a while since I've used a chopper gunner (give me a few minutes, I'll go see if I can test it in splitscreen)--WouldYouKindly 18:09, January 3, 2010 (UTC)

Chopper Gunner "Apache" name[]
There's an inaccurate part of the trivia, which has been removed:
""When a Chopper Gunner is called in by the Navy SEALs, Task Force 141 or the US Army Rangers, the announcer for either team will say "Enemy/Friendly Apache incoming." When the Brazilian Militia, OpFor, or Spetsnaz call in a Chopper Gunner, the announcer will simply say "Enemy/Friendly Chopper incoming.", not referring to the type of helicopter, a Mi-28 Havoc. ""
OpFor, Spetsnaz, and Militia call the chopper an Apache regardless. Here's the Militia confirmation (Soundfile Friendly starts at 2:19, Enemy at 3:19).
- In that video, there are also sound files of the generic "Chopper" as well. Whether or not this piece of trivia should be put back in depends on which sound file is used in game. They could have recorded both "Apache" and "Chopper" but only used one. Not only that, but the announcer says both "Hind" and "Cobra". Nogert 05:27, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

If a CG is called in by Militia,OpFor or Spetz,no matter what your team is,it will refer it as "chopper."If TF141,SEALs or Rangers order a CG,no matter the team,its referred as "Apache." Chopper Gunner CANNOT destroy harrier.[]
The article mentions that the CG can destroy the harrier, but this is a blatant lie. I get CG quite often, and I've tried atleast 3 times to destroy the harrier. Even if you aim at it, and yes, I mean AT IT, it does no damage.

Emotionally Hard to Use After Watching Real Kill Cam Footage?[]
Anyone else feel kind of grossed out by Chopper Gunner after watching the footage of a real Apache taking out insurgents, civilians, and journalists and four civilians who later try to help the journalists? [1]

Chopper Gunner Vs. AC130[]
I think that the AC130 is better then the chopper because it is harder to destroy, gives you a view of the whole battlefield, and you shoot bombs out of the sky instead of just bullets. What does everyone else think about this debate?TristanCODfan 21:48, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

Black Ops

The chopper gunner is confirmed in Black Ops, however it is not thermal, and it is similar to the chopper gunner in the Spec Ops mission Big Brother. Reeceryan 10:00, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
Is the Chopper Gunner overpowerd in Black Ops?
It's easy to shoot down, but is does have flares. it is also easy to obtain, nine killstreak isn't that much, and the gun doesn't overheat or run out of ammo. So in my mind, it is overpowered. What do you think?

Should we delete the Black Ops Chopper Gunner video?[]
It has a terrible framerate, less than 10 seconds of actual Chopper Gunner gameplay (because the videomaker sped the whole thing up through Theater Mode), and it just really doesn't look professional at all. MetlTalk 04:40, August 17, 2013 (UTC)
