IAV vs M2A2 Bradley[]

Rather than going into an edit war that will never end, we'll keep the page like that for now and discussion needs to happen in the talk page.

So the question is: should the IAV page be solely about the killstreak (how it is earned and how it works) meaning it's only about MW or should it include stuff regarding the vehicle itself which can be used in normal MP gameplay through Ground War in both MW and now MWII.

Let's discuss it here.

Well, I think it's better to keep the two versions separate since MW 2019 itself treats it differently, so much so that they have different descriptions. I've already put mention on both pages about the two each. Maybe I would just add to the Infantry Assault Vehicle‎‎ page the information about which skins are shared between the two versions. Kalinine Marcello Julio Thanks for making this post Kalinine. I really should've raised it as a discussion here instead of trying to discuss purely through reverts and edit summaries. I agree to letting it stay as it is for now till things get hashed out. No rush.
My concern was not about the separation between the vehicle and the killstreak but that IAV is not the same vehicle as the Bradley. They look similar but they're not the same. As a result, the IAV is not present in MW 2019 campaign, only the M2A2 Bradley is. And conversely, the M2A2 Bradley is not present in Ground War or Spec Ops, only the IAV is. The two big distinctions are that the Bradley doesn't have a .50cal pintle mounted turret up top (in game or real life). The second is we never actually get to use the M2A2 Bradley in singleplayer or multiplayer while we can use the IAV in ground war, spec ops, and multiplayer.
I know this gets into the duck test argument about how the wiki doesn't split into a thousand different articles because of small variations in how a gun is portrayed in a particular game. Like why there's no AKM page vs AK-47 because that would get out of hand. But I think in this case it's a fair distinction. Like how even though there's a UAV Recon in BOIII, BO4, and MW, the UAV Recon page doesn't link to the MQ-1 Predator or MQ-9 Reaper page for those games because the UAV in those games is not an MQ-1 Predator or MQ-9 Reaper. I felt the same should apply here.
I'm not 100% sure about the need for separating the vehicle from the killstreak. They seem to function the exact same in regular multiplayer vs ground war except that the multiplayer version has a timer on it. Plus, camouflages and songs applied to one also apply to the other. But I'm not against it. My only issue is separating the Bradley from the IAV. Jasonwebb1 (talk) 01:20, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
