Firing sound

Removed the trivia claiming the MP412 uses the same game sounds as the USP as, quite simply, it does not.

What the f*ck? This thing is a .357 Magnum and it does more damage than the .44 Magnum (based on the in-game stats). Who the f*ck let a moron into IW? -SP Salted Pingas 05:14, November 10, 2011 (UTC)

Can someone PLEASE get the damage stats I unlock this baby soon and would like to know. Thanks. I'd take a guess that it's 50-30, but I've been wrong before. Salted Pingas 05:43, November 12, 2011 (UTC)

This and the .44 Magnum do about the same damage. Call me Crazy 08:16, January 6, 2012 (UTC)

What's the difference between this and the .44 magnum other than the reload times and unlock level?

Why is there six bullets came out when you reload even if you shoot etc three bullets202.156.10.13 13:43, February 2, 2012 (UTC)1324

Akimbo + steady aim + sleight of hand are a very effective combo with this gun. assassin pro also helps

Reload animation[]

So I've noticed that the reload animation for this game is taken pretty much directly from that of the same gun in Battlefield: Bad Company - literally the only difference is that the MW3 version has its cylinder spun in the opposite direction. Should we mention that on the page? Kadorhal (talk) 21:50, January 10, 2013 (UTC)

Of course it's a similar animation - it's the same gun. However, the animation is not the same as the BC version and there's not much point in mentioning this. It's not even true, the MW3 animation isn't "taken directly" from BC, that'd be impossible, as they run on completely different engines and have a different development team. Executioner Menu Icon BOIIAugFC Talk Page 21:59, January 10, 2013 (UTC)

I mean "similar animation" and "taken directly" in that how the animation looks is, as I said, essentially the exact same as that of the BFBC2 version - see for yourself right here. And why exactly is there not much point in mentioning it? Kadorhal (talk) 03:03, January 15, 2013 (UTC)

Because that's like being suprised that the M16 from one game reloads similarly to an M16 from another game - they're the same gun, and therefore reload techniques are going to be similar.

As for the MP412, I really don't think the animations are as mind-boggilingly similar as you think they are. The MW3 one is much smoother than the BF:BC one, and that's just the normal method for reloading break-action revolvers anyway. Not much of a big suprise, to be honest, and completely untrivial. Executioner Menu Icon BOIIAugFC Talk Page 08:00, January 15, 2013 (UTC)
