P90 Trivia[]

The P90 has been edited time and time again, more than not concerning the trivia of the left-hand shooting.

I believe it to be true. The picture of the P90 on Wikipedia ([1]) clearly shows the trigger in the guard that the left hand holds. If this is confirmed by not only the Wikipedia page with a picture of the real weapon, BUT the side-model in the Create-A-Class, then why are people editing this out stating it's not true? Cpl. Wilding 14:47, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

The P90 is held in an unusual manner. Assuming a right-hand dominant shooter, the right index finger goes into the trigger guard on front (you refer to this as the "guard that the left hand holds") while the right thumb fits into the space behind that, and the right fingers are wrapped around the body of the rear section, that could tentatively be called a "handle" (the safety is actually located on this area). The left thumb is tucked into the front of the trigger-guard, hence the unusual shape, and the left hand wraps around the front of this section, similar to a vertical foregrip. Although a left-hand dominant shooter would reverse this, and be firing with the left hand, the majority of shooters (right-hand dominant) would in fact be firing with the right hand.

Hope that clears up your misunderstanding -Nighteyes428 21:53, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

I've rephrased the statement to what I understand should be the accurate version. For reference, see this, this and this. --Scottie theNerd 22:16, December 25, 2009 (UTC)
As far as I know, the P90 is held normally, but instead of inserting the thumb and wrapping the hand around the holed foregrip, the player model simply holds the foregrip like it is a normal foregrip without a hole.ASU-74 14:15, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

More P90 Trivia[]

The P90 does NOT have a "special camo" in CoD4 The magazine does have camo on it. Always. I remember seeing that and disproving it earlier. It may be more difficult to see, but it is definitely there. If the person posting this has seen this glitch-esque thing on a specific console (I use a 360), then please specify when you put the statement back in. Epochalyptik 02:24, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

3rd person reload?[]

From the article: "In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare when in third person, the P90 reloads as if the magazine was below of the weapon"

Is this meant to be Modern Warfare 2, where 3rd person mode was introduced, or is this spectating in 3rd person in CoD4? This needs to be clarified.Crimmastermind 07:24, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

"Third person" means someone external to the player (i.e. spectating). This doesn't need clarifying, as it refers to anyone looking at the player and not necessarily spectating. --Scottie theNerd 09:03, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

I think that for example in Search & Destroy you can switch to external sight and when you watch a guy with a P90 you'll clearly see that he reloads that the mag is below of the weapon not on the top like most of weapons so it doesnt have his own reloading move. how many hit kill?[]

Could any1 test how many hits does it take to kill with p90 with stopping power and without stopping power? Finlandomg 19:58, March 11, 2010 (UTC)

It says in the article, 30-20 damage. Therefore it is a 4-5 hit kill without stopping power and a 3-4 hit kill with stopping power (first number is within range, 2nd number is out of range).Crimmastermind 22:53, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

PDW vs. SMG[]

simply, a PDW (like the P90, MP7 or QBZ-something) fires an armour piercing round halfway between an assault rifle type cartridge and a typical pistol cartridge like the 5.7x28mm (P90), 4.6x30mm (MP7), 5.8x25mm (QBZ-something). an SMG fires a regular pistol round (like the 9x19mm or .45 ACP). Agent Tasmania 10:02, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

Yes but considering no CoD game has a section for PDW's does it matter, unless were talking trivia-wise?Dolten 11:00, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

In short, no. Lordofthelargepants The Zipper and The Pockets 11:31, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

And in long? Raven's wing Talk11:33, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

Making a special section for just one weapon so far is a bit redundant. If a new call of duty game would feature the MP7 as well, for instance, and another PDW type weapon, it might be useful to do so. But still. The game will probably still classify them as submachineguns. So they should, according to COD:G still be added to the "SMG" category Lordofthelargepants The Zipper and The Pockets 11:37, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

Well, you dodged the obvious punchline. Raven's wing Talk11:51, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

I put this here after removing a line on the artical that said the MP5K, PP2000 and TMP were PDWs. they are just compact submachine guns. my edit summary said to come here for elaboration. Agent Tasmania 06:00, April 3, 2010 (UTC)

The page stated that the side rails evidenced Heartbeat Sensors were originally intended for SMGs...Seems a bit silly when you consider that a P90 by design actually has those rails in place for laser optics and such. Call of Duty did not design the weapon.

The page is refering to the rail on the side of the reciever, below the magazine, which is absent on the real weapon. Raven's wing Talk12:31, June 15, 2010 (UTC)

CoD4 Images[]

Would it be possible to get a high resolution image of the unique P90 found in All Ghillied Up, the on with an RDS and a silencer? Admin SSDGFCTCT9 天皇陛下萬歳! 14:14, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

MW2 Silenced P90[]

Has anyone noticed that on MW2, a silenced P90 sounds like a silenced gun off CoD4 (like a supressed ping), unlike the new, more muffled sound? It's easier to notice in 1ast person. Just wondering why the P90 this, no other gun does. Nt3K 18:31, October 21, 2010 (UTC)

P90+Silencer[]

I've noticed that when a Silencer is added to the P90 in Modern Warfare 2, it becomes more accurate with less visual recoil and smoke.

In my first game with it, I realized how great of a combo it is, and I got a Tactical Nuke in my first ever game on Wasteland FFA and went 30-2.

Here was my setup:

Primary: P90 Silencer

Secondary: G18 Akimbo

Perk 1: Marathon Pro

Perk 2: Hardline

Park 3: Ninja Pro

Equipment: Throwing Knife

Special Grenade: Stuns

It was great for both mid and close range, and imo is even better than the UMP Silencer, so add that into the main wiki :D

According to weapons guide maker XboxAhoy, in MW2 P90 with extended mags allows you to run 3 times as fas like Extreme Conditionining from COD4, 129.2.18.220 18:57, March 9, 2011 (UTC)

OVERKILL COMBO: P90 and M21 in CoD4[]

I'm just curious, but will equipping the M21 sniper rifle and the P90 SMG with Overkill in Call of Duty 4 increase your sprint duration even further than with only a single M21 or a single P90? By the way this is about the PC, as i've heard that the sprinting glitch has been patched on consoles. ASU-74 14:12, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

I did a not very scientific experiment on the sprint glitch on PC with this (P90) and M21 in call of duty 4: modern warfare. I came to the conclusion that: a) Normal sprint time is around 5 sec. b) Using the perk extreme condition effectively doubled that time (10 sec). c) the sprint time using either of the two weapons was around 7 seconds. d) Using either of the two weapons and extreme condition gave you around 14 seconds of sprint time. e) Using the perk overkill and both of the weapons gave you around 7 seconds of sprinting.

In short: overkill doesn't help, extreme condition however becomes more effective with either of the weapons.80.63.232.61 18:36, October 6, 2011 (UTC)

MW1 Red dot[]

Did anyone else notice that the red dot on the P90 appears to be on a rail, attached to the rail on top of the Gun? Icommandoxx 21:17, August 8, 2011 (UTC)

What's wrong with that? Raven's wing Talk21:17, August 8, 2011 (UTC)

Icommandoxx is right: it has a rail mounted onto another rail, lol. look at the image and youll see RC95 08:29, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Higher rate of fire in MW3 campaign[]

I noticed that the P90 in Modern Warfare 3 has a higher rate of fire in Singleplayer mode than in Multiplayer. Can someone check the game files and put its rate of fire of Singleplayer? Maybe it is 937.5 RPM (the same rate of fire as the UMP45 with Rapid Fire), but I'm not sure. Ultimate94ninja 16:32, February 14, 2012 (UTC)

Nobody can check the game files, they are encrypted like in MW2. You'll have to test it yourself. 84.160.219.221 21:56, February 13, 2012 (UTC)

Sprint glitch with extended mags?[]

I could have sworn that there's a glitch in MW2 where if you equip the P90 with extended mags, you have a 75% longer sprint time. It might not be true across all platforms, but multiple youtube personalities have claimed this. Can someone run a test? I no longer have the game. Brainwasher5 (talk) 23:36, August 2, 2015 (UTC)

Yes it is true. It also works with bling as long as one of the attachments are extended mags. I played a lot of MW2 (up until this year) and at least on PC I can verify this.VMeyer (talk) 00:31, August 3, 2015 (UTC)
