Trivia Stuff[]
First;
"It fires the same ammo as the Arisaka rifle, yet it has lower damage and cannot share ammo with it in the game. This is because while in Call of Duty 4 the G36C, M16 and M4 share ammo, they all have (very) similar magazines (which are called STANAG magazines) . So, despite the Arisaka and Type 99 using the same bullet, they don't share the same magazine."
While not strictly false, the ammo/magazine thing is somewhat contradictory as in CoD4, weapons with the same ammo but different magazines can share ammo (ie G3 and M21). Makes this statement kind of moot, I think.
Also;
"In Single Player, this gun may rip soldiers apart."

Offensive photo?[]

Irrelevant?[]
I am not sure, but unless a gun is being brought over from another game that they share,or the same game the article is in, shouldn't the whole Bren thing be deleted.Also, low mobility and long reload are traits all LMGs have without SoH or running perks (The exception being the WaW Browning MG), not just the 99 or Bren.24.193.208.42 01:08, June 17, 2011 (UTC)A Wikia Contributor
We are not deleting the Bren page as the Type 99 and the Bren are two different guns and the Type 99 only appears in WaW, while the Bren appears in all of the other WWII CoD games.
Low quality pic[]
The create a class picture here looks like someone took it with a cell phone camera off a tiny TV and covered the background white in MS Paint. On the other hand, all the rest are extracted from the game's files. This is in need of an upgrade. Ben Again 23:15, November 5, 2011 (UTC)

Type 99 vs. Juggernaut[]
Because the Type 99 deals 45-33 damage, doesn't that mean that it will take the same number of shots to kill a juggernaut user as a non-juggernaut? I did the math and that is what it would indicate.
If so, then the Type 99 has a much bigger niche than the page for it or even the trivia give it credit for. Blahthebiste (talk) 01:48, December 4, 2012 (UTC)blahthebiste
