Terminus Outcomes is a faction featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III's Zombies mode. Terminus Outcomes is a private military company hired by Victor Zakhaev to retrieve Aetherium.
History[]
Creation[]
Terminus Outcomes was founded in 2011 by Jack Fletcher, and quickly established itself as one of the world's largest private military companies. The company is headquartered out of Brunei to bypass extradition treaties with the United States, and has multiple training facilities located within Turkmenistan, Congo and Uganda. Terminus Outcomes' contractors are equipped with the latest weaponry and technology, and their training rivals that of major NATO militaries.
Discovering Aetherium[]
In 2021, Terminus Outcomes was hired by Victor Zakhaev to retrieve Aetherium. Fletcher and several of his contractors accompanied Zakhaev in Zaravan, Urzikstan where, after launching an ambush at the local police forces at an American checkpoint as a diversion, breached into a basement to discover 4 mummified corpses around a device on a table. The device opened and Zakhaev retrieved the last two vials of Aetherium within. As they escaped, they were attacked by local authorities' reinforcements, including military police. Trapped, Zakhaev used one of the vials at the cops to create an Exclusion Zone which turned people, both dead and alive, into zombies. Zakhaev, albeit wounded by a sniper, managed to return to the LTV with Fletcher before leaving the area, realizing the effectiveness of Aetherium.
Operation Deadbolt[]
Shortly after, Terminus Outcomes deployed its contractors into the Exclusion Zone in Urzikstan, where they established a fortress overseen by the company's second-in-command, "Legacy" Baranov. Fletcher and Zakhaev began to study the Aetherium sample in their possession, with Fletcher proclaiming that they would "make a killing" by selling Aetherium once Zakhaev had enriched enough additional samples.
It was also at this time that Terminus Outcomes employed Ari "Dokkaebi" Jo, who then set up a fortress in Zaravan City and began to harass Operation Deadbolt's convoys passing through the area.
Ava Jansen's Defection[]
When Ava Jansen learned of Zakhaev's true plan with the Aetherium that he and Fletcher have been extracting, she defected to Operation Deadbolt, this prompted Terminus Outcomes mercenaries at her location to try and prevent Operation Deadbolt's Strike Team from extracting her while also fighting against the zombie hordes in the area. Their plan ultimately failed as Operation Deadbolt's Strike Team ultimately succeeded in extracting Ava Jansen.
Following this event, Zakhaev ordered Fletcher to find and kill Ava Jansen while also continuing to extract Aetherium and defend against Operation Deadbolt's assaults.
A New Direction[]
Following a long firefight with Operation Deadbolt's Strike Team, which resulted in a defeat for Terminus Outcomes, Zakhaev went into hiding once again, this resulted in Terminus Outcomes operating independently and also caused a shift in direction for them, where their focus was now only on extracting the Aetherium and selling it to those who are interested in it.
At this time, Terminus Outcomes also employed a new commander to further reinforce their operation in Zaravan, Doctor Sona "Keres" Mirzoyan, a person with a deep interest in chemical research and also a deep hatred for morality, who sets up another Terminus Outcomes' fortress, this time, in the Orlov Military Base.
An adventure in the Dark Aether Rift[]
After Fletcher learned about the Omega Group and heard whispers of the Dark Aether containing a treasure trove of goods. He assembled a team of Terminus operatives to escort him into the Dark Aether, after learning of a new rift opening in the high threat zone. Once inside, his team was quickly stranded due to unfamiliarity with the territory.
Fortunately, Fletcher got in contact with Sergei Ravenov and the Deadbolt Strike Team, who followed them in pursuit. Both sides agreed to a truce and worked together to escape the Dark Aether. They found pieces of Jansen's Neutralizer and reassembled it in order to open another rift. Fletcher, however, betrays both Deadbolt and Terminus Outcomes mercenaries by using an Aetherium vial to transform his men into zombies, slowing Ravenov and the strike team and facilitating his own escape.
Reinforcing operation in Zaravan[]
After the event in the Dark Aether rift, Terminus Outcomes never bothered to investigate it again, instead, focusing all of their efforts into extracting Aetherium and defending against Operation Deadbolt. At this time, they also employed a new commander to further bolster their rank, Rainmaker, a Cuban who has a liking for explosives and traps, whose fortress was located in the Shahin Manor.
Overview[]
In Operation Deadbolt, Terminus Outcomes mercenaries are the second group of enemies that Operation Deadbolt Strike Team faces aside from the Zombie. Terminus Outcomes mercenaries are divided into the following categories:
Normal Mercenaries[]
Grunts[]
The lowest and weakest tier of Terminus Outcome mercenaries are Grunts. They have no armor and are the most common type of mercenaries the Operation Deadbolt Strike Team can encounter. Grunts can be found around the storage containing the LTV for the Delivery Cargo contract, and in Mercenary Camps, Strongholds, and Armored Convoys
Soldiers[]
The second tier of Terminus Outcome mercenaries are Soldiers, equipped with light armor and often spotted in various locations such as Aether Extraction sites, the garage housing the LTV for the Delivery Cargo contract, Armored Convoys, and Mercenary Camps and Strongholds.
Elites[]
The highest and strongest tier of Terminus Outcome mercenaries are Elites. They are well-armored and can often be found in Armored Convoys, inside Mercenary Strongholds, and Warlord's Strongholds. Elites usually appear as reinforcements and try to stop Operation Deadbolt's Strike Team from completing tasks like uploading data in the Defend Ground Stations contract, drilling safes inside Strongholds, and protecting the Warlords when attacked.
Specialist Mercenaries[]
Several types of Terminus Outcome mercenaries are grouped into this category, with them being:
Sergeants[]
They are the ones who give orders to small groups of Terminus Outcomes mercenaries in the field. Sergeants can be found in Mercenary Stronghold and armored Convoys, and they also appear as part of the reinforcement that arrives at a Stronghold when Operation Deadbolt's Strike Team raids it. They use either the Cronen Squall or the BAS-B.
Shock Troops[]
Heavily armored but not-so-mobile Terminus Outcome mercenaries. Shock Troops can be found in Mecernary Camps in the Tier II Zone, Mecernary Strongholds, and around Aether Extraction sites. They use a light machine gun and a handgun. However, they will only pull out their handgun if their light machine gun has run out of ammo and there are enemies close to them. Killing them while they are using their handgun will not make them drop it, rather, they will drop the light machine gun that they were using.
A unique variant of the Shock Troops mercenaries, called Knight can be found on an Armored Truck which travels around the exclusion zone, killing him is required as part of the Shahin Manor Easter Egg.
Recon[]
Lightly armored and very mobile Terminus Outcome mercenaries. Recon mercenaries often appear as part of reinforcement that is sent out when Operation Deadbolt's Strike Team drills the safe inside a Mercenary Stronghold. Due to their nature, Recon mercenaries often try to rush directly at Operation Deadbolt's Strike Team to deliver a devastating stab.
A unique variant of the Shock Troops mercenaries, called Bishop can be in the train tunnel between Levin Resort and Popov Power Plant, killing him is required as part of the Shahin Manor Easter Egg.
Snipers[]
Lightly armored and don't move around at all. Sniper mercenaries can only be found in Mercenary Camps, where they will attempt to pick off Operation Deadbolt's Strike Team from afar and zombies as well.
A unique variant of the Sniper mercenaries, called Rook can be in his own small fortress located at C5 on the map, killing him is required as part of the Shahin Manor Easter Egg.
Shield Soldiers[]
Shield Soldiers are often found in Mercenary Strongholds and as part of the reinforcements that arrive to destroy the upload station in the Defend Ground Stations contract. They use shields alongside a handgun.
Anti-Tanks[]
Anti-Tank mercenaries are often found in Mercenary Camps and as part of the reinforcements that arrive to destroy the upload station in the Defend Ground Stations contract. They use an RPG-7 alongside a handgun, but they will only pull out their handgun once they have run out of rocket ammo and killing them while they are using their handgun doesn't make they drop it, instead, they will drop the RPG-7.
Warlords[]
Warlords are Terminus Outcomes' field commanders, they are the ones giving orders and directing Terminus Outcomes mercenaries in Zaravan. They are often found in their fortresses with many Elite mercenaries alongside traps to defend themselves. When their fortresses are attacked, more Elite mercenaries will reinforce to defend them. Currently, there are four active Warlords:
