Combat diving specialist, Thibault "Riptide" Lefebre was born on the French coast, in the seaside town of Biarritz. Idyllic and peaceful, the only two constants of Biarritz were the gentle ocean breeze and the town's affinity for surfing. While most of Thibault's peers adopted he sport with ease, Thibault struggled to simply stay afloat. But not one to give up, Thibault dedicated himself to surfing, eventually reaching a point where he could glide above the waves with ease. It wasn't until his final year of high school that Thibault found a new obsession to work towards. When stories of a hostage situation were filling the news, Thibault found himself inspired by the combat swimmers who had saved the day. If he could tech himself to surf through sheer force of will, surely he could put that knowledge to good use to serve his country.
Practically having spent half his life in the water, Thibault worked his way up through the ranks of the French Navy and the Commandos Marine over the course of several years. He tackled his training with a diligence and determination impressing all but the most jaded of officers. Eventually he tested into the Commando Hubert, an elite combat swimming unit with operators across the globe. Now, "Riptide" works in counterterrorism and hostage rescue, pursuing his missions with the same level of effort that he's had his entire life.
