"Temporarily shows enemies through walls. Can be manually detonated."
— In-game description.

The Threat Grenade, also referred to as Threat Detection Grenade, is a tactical grenade that appears in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. It was first seen in the "Induction" trailer, where Mitchell switches modes on the grenade from Flash, to EMP, to Threat. After it explodes, all enemies caught in the radius will be temporarily stunned and will also be highlighted in a bright red, similar to how in the Call of Duty: Black Ops II level "Karma", where enemies can be highlighted in orange for easy identification. Note that the grenade explosion radius is smaller in Multiplayer.

In campaign, the lone Threat Grenade is available in the first two missions Induction and Atlas, and then its effects can be used within the Variable Grenade for the rest of the campaign.
