"Me blokes in me old unit thought I gone daft when I enrolled in the 6th Airborne. I mean, who in their right mind would go jumping out of a perfectly good airplane into jerry held territory, eh?"
— Tom Sharpe

Private Tom Sharpe is one of the main characters in Call of Duty: World at War Final Fronts. He fought for the 6th Airborne Division and was primarily a sniper.

Biography[]

Sharpe was a member of the British Army, possibly the Home Guard, before he decided to join to the 6th Airborne Division. According to Sharpe he joined because "We've been sitting it for years and taking it from Jerry and well I suppose I just wanted to have a crack back at them". Prior to Bastogne, Sharpe took part in the Normandy invasion during D-Day.

During the mission "The Relief of Bastogne" Sharpe was part of Sergeant Maddock's squad who were tasked to destroy the German's supply depot in the town. The squad managed to fight their way through the town and managed to locate the supply depot. Taylor was ordered to place a demolition charge on one of the Panzer IV tanks but his charge was defective and did not explode. Maddock ordered Sharpe to snipe the demolition charge and trigger the explosion. He managed to do so and after it he used a Panzerschreck to destroy the rest of the vehicles.

After Bastogne, Sharpe and his squad was tasked to provide support for Captain Randall and besieged unit in Bure. On the way the squad was ambushed by a German squad. Against the heavy resistance the squad made their way to the town's church where Randall the rest of his unit took up defenses. Taylor volunteered to find and bring back the Jeeps abandoned by Randall's squad in order for them to escape. He was successful and they survivors managed to escape from the town.

On March 28th 1945, Sharpe and his unit was now in Germany. Their mission was to destroy several artillery pieces along the Rhine coast and hold their position until reinforcements arrive. Despite heavy resistance from the German defenses the mission was a success.
