Treasure Zombies are a rare and special type of zombies found in the Call of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies maps The Final Reich, The Darkest Shore, The Shadowed Throne, and The Frozen Dawn.
Overview[]
Treasure Zombies are one of the rarest types of zombies that can spawn on the map. They have a similar appearance to that of Bombers, but have a red and yellow bomb on their back. They also drop Jolts, which the player can pick up. Treasure Zombies also do not attack the player, instead they walk around the map dropping Jolts for the player. They also have more health compared to a normal Bomber.
The player is notified of when a Treasure Zombie appears on the map when Jolts will randomly begin to appear somewhere within the map. An active Treasure Zombie will eventually despawn from the map if the player does not kill it in time. Treasure Zombies can take up to 75 minutes to spawn once the necessary requirements to spawn one in a match is met.
Spawning a Treasure Zombie[]
- The Final Reich - Treasure Zombies will spawn once the player has gained access to each area of the map.
- The Darkest Shore - Treasure Zombies will spawn once the player has gained access to each area of the map (excluding the Ancient Door).
- The Shadowed Throne - Treasure Zombies will spawn once the player has gained access to each area of the map (excluding Barbarosa's refuge, and the zepplin).
- The Frozen Dawn - Treasure Zombies will spawn once the player places all four upgraded Thulian weapons in the pedestals in the Ice Caves.
Reward[]
Killing a Treasure Zombie will grant the player either; a Taschen Voll, an Überladen power-up, or - more rarely - parts required to unlock hidden characters within The Final Reich, The Darkest Shore, and The Shadowed Throne. Both power ups have a 35% chance to spawn when killing a Treasure Zombie.
- Parts A, B, C, D, and E for the Hunter character will drop with a 5% chance on The Final Reich.
- Parts A, B, and C for the Bloodraven Hunter character will drop with an 8% chance on The Darkest Shore and;
- Parts A, B, and C for the Necromedic character will drop with an 8% chance on The Shadowed Throne.
Additionally, each Treasure Zombie killed provides a single-use, free purchase for either a Blitz Machine, the Geistschild machine, or the Mystery Box. Each of these rewards occur at an equally likely rate of 12.5%.
