Tutorial is a gamemode within the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. It acts, as the name suggests, as a tutorial in order for otherwise inexperienced players to learn how the gamemode works, along with explaining each function the mode has to offer. There are two different versions of Tutorial, respectively named Beginner Tutorial and Advanced Tutorial.
The Tutorial mode itself takes place exclusively on the map Voyage of Despair, with Diego Necalli being playable in Beginner Tutorial and alternatively Scarlett Rhodes and Stanton Shaw each being playable in the Advanced Tutorial. Bruno Delacroix makes an appearance as well in Advanced, but only as a bot.

Beginner Tutorial[]
The Beginner Tutorial is meant to introduce brand new players to the base mechanics of Zombies; chiefly combat, movement, and other basic mechanics such as Wall Buys, Points, and the Mystery Box.
Advanced Tutorial[]
The Advanced Tutorial is slightly longer than the Beginner Tutorial and is meant to further introduce the player to more Zombies-exclusive mechanics such as the concept of Perks, reviving, enemy-types (specifically the Fire Catalyst), and the Pack-a-Punch. Once the player completes the Advanced Tutorial, they will be rewarded with a "Certificate of Survival".
