Tvelin (Твелин) is a Red Army soldier who appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops.
History
He appears in the level "Project Nova" commanded by Captain Viktor Reznov, where his team was ordered to find a Nazi doctor, Friedrich Steiner. Once they do, they enter a ship wreckage where they are betrayed by Dragovich after finding some Nova 6 gas, with Dimitri Petrenko, Vikharev and Belov in one gas chamber, and Tvelin in the second chamber, along with Reznov and Nevski. While those in the first chamber were killed by the gas, Tvelin, Reznov, and Nevski escape upon the arrival of British Commandos. However, while Reznov and Nevski escaped the wreckage, Tvelin is killed before he could do so.
Trivia
- Even if he survives until the end, he won't rappel down the rope before the ship blows up.
- The player is able to kill Tvelin without penalty.
- He uses an STG-44; a German rifle, instead of a Mosin-Nagant or PPsH-41, despite both being from his respective faction.
- Swift is similar to him as both are killed, both appear in Black Ops, and both use Enemy weapons rather than their respective team's (Swift uses an AK, Tvelin uses an STG-44.), and these weapons are some of the most popular, first and most similar looking assault rifles.
