The Type 38 is a bolt-action sniper rifle that was added to Call of Duty: WWII with the Blitzkrieg event on April 17th, 2018.

Nazi ZombiesEdit

The Type 38 is available from the Mystery Box in all maps for 1,000 Jolts and from the Sniper Rifle Waffenbox in The Tortured Path for 3,000 Jolts. When upgraded either by the Ubersprengen or via the Freefire perk "MK. II" it becomes the Defaced Chrysanthemum gaining an increased magazine size of 12, increased maximum reserve ammo of 100, increased damage and headshots have a chance to produce a powerful electrical blast, killing or severity wounding any nearby zombies.

  • Despite the weapon being a Type 38, "九九式小銃" can be seen on the scope, which translates to "Type 99".
  • Much like the Type 99 Arisaka from World at War the Type 38 has the Imperial Japanese chrysanthemum seal on the reciever which can best be seen when reloading.
