The UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) is a heavily armed vehicle featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Modern Warfare 3[]
The UGV appears in Campaign mode and was cut from Multiplayer in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in favor of the Assault Drone.
Singleplayer[]
The UGV is used only once in the mission "Persona Non Grata", by Yuri to clear a way for Price and Nikolai to move Soap to the evacuation helicopter. However, after three of them managed to get to the helicopter, the UGV is destroyed by an enemy Drone. It includes a mounted Minigun and an automatic Mk 47 Mod 0 Grenade Launcher with a total of twenty-four rounds. The UGV has decent armour although prolonged enemy fire will eventually destroy the UGV and cause the player to start again from the last checkpoint. The UGV also can run over and crush enemies.
Multiplayer[]
According to several cut qoutes from Multiplayer announcers, UGV was scheduled to appear in multplayer as an Pointstreak, however, it is later replaced with Assault Drone.
