The United States Marine Corps appear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
Biography
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
The USMC first appear in the mission Fog of War as the 1st Marine Raiders led by Sergeant Hoyt, squad leader of the "Hitman" Team. The Marine Raiders took part in Operation Verdansk and assist Alex Keller in finding the chemical gas from the depot, which was obtained by Barkov's mercenaries to move the gas to Urzikstan. Most of the Marine Raiders were killed by Al-Qatala insurgents led by Hadir Karim, while they're extracting the chemical gas by using Russian vehicles as extraction, leaving Alex as a lone survivor.
USMC also appears in the mission Hunting Party. USMC forces are sent to Ramaza, Urzikstan to clear Al-Qatala forces. A USMC unit of Demon Dogs, lead by Sergeant Griggs is sent to assist Alex in his mission to capture Omar "The Wolf" Sulaman at the hospital.
The USMC last appears for gameplay, in the mission The Embassy. After the capture of "The Wolf" in Ramaza, his second in command Jamal "The Butcher" Rahar, leads a attack on the US Embassy in Sakhra, Urzikstan to rescue him from custody. US Marine soldiers are seen fighting against the Al-Qatala insurgents at the US embassy and the ambassador's residence.
In the cutscene at the beginning of Into The Furnace, Laswell and 2 Marines arrive in a UH-60 Blackhawk to transfer Hadir into Russian custody.
