The Universal Carrier or Bren Gun Carrier is a British family of light-armored tracked vehicles commonly used to transport personnel or to act as a machine gun platform. The Universal Carrier was widely used by the British Army and various Commonwealth forces.

Call of Duty 2[]

The Universal Carrier is first seen very briefly during the British North African Campaign level Hold the Line were in the beginning the player rides in one to assist the defense a small town. In "Retaking Toujane" when all the FlaK 88 guns are captured and the mosque is taken, a small convoy of British vehicles will arrive. Right behind the lead Sherman tank is a Universal Carrier with two personnel aboard. A convoy of them also appears after the player successfully repels the German mass-counterattack in The Crossroads.

The Wasp, a British modification of the Universal Carrier equipped with a flamethrower and was originally set to appear in Call of Duty: World at War. [1] Despite being modeled, it didn't ship in the final game files. It was to appear in the third Holland mission.[2]
