If you've got a moment or are just in the mood for some great music, check out my music subpage here and tell me what you think! I'm always open to suggestions for new music. (DISCLAIMER: none of the videos are mine, but feel free to leave feedback on the videos themselves on the videos' pages; I'm sure the uploaders would appreciate it.)

Also, I just started a new Steam account if anyone wants to add me. WouldYouKindly197 (original, huh?)

About Me[edit | edit source]

I'm an avid gamer and a fan of many franchises including GTA; Bioshock (hence the name); Call of Duty (of course); Elder Scrolls; Warcraft; Fallout; and Half Life, just to name a few. I also frequent most of the Wikia gaming Wikis and occasionally make contributions to WoWWiki, GTA Wiki, and Bioshock Wiki (The COD wiki is the one that takes up most of my time, however). I hope to see some of you there!

When I'm not editing any of these wikis, you can often find me on the World of Warcraft General Forums under the name "Riverstyx"

Unrelated to video games, I'm a huge fan of music from the '70s and '80s (If it's from that period, I've probably heard it). I also occasionally shoot guns in real life (target shooting with .22 and .223 rifles mainly, but I have fired a real WWII Arisaka before), but I don't care for hunting and I'm terrible with shotguns.

For some samples of my favorite music, check out my music page.

Wikis I contribute to:[edit | edit source]

  • Call of Duty (sysop since 10/30/09)
  • Red Dead (frequent; sysop since 5/27/10)
  • BioShock (occasional)
  • GTA (occasional)
  • WoWWiki (occasional)

Things that tick me off[edit | edit source]

Nonsensical edits: (indecipherably bad grammar/spelling, first-person accounts that dont need to be in first-person, etc)

"This has to be a reference because...": Seriously, just because Homer found a Ray Gun in episode 9001 of The Simpsons doesnt mean the Ray Gun in the game is a reference.

VANDALS!!!!!: Seriously, GTFO, that is all.

"Rasputin" theories. Serously, when did it become the new thing to speculate that a character that is CONFIRMED to be dead, somehow survived? (Ghost, Gaz, even WWII Price somehow, GAH it's frustrating)

My Custom COD4 Loadouts[edit | edit source]

(note: I dont have any creative names for these kits, I'm not a very creative person :P)

(note #2: You might notice I dont have any LMG kits, that's because I hate the things, what's the point of a hundred round ammo capacity and decent power when the weapon slows you to a crawl, has a reload so long that i could empty the entire ammo reserve of any other weapon by the time it finishes reloading, and so much recoil that it's just as likely to hit the guy beside you as the guy in front of you?)

Custom 1[edit | edit source]

Mid-Range Assault

Primary Weapon: AK-47 (digital camo, no attachments, I refuse to use the grenade launcher, even for the challenges. I dont like the ACOG except on the G36. And the damage bug with the other 2 attachments isnt worth it, its a great weapon otherwise)

Sidearm: Desert Eagle

Perk 1: Frag x3 (note: I dont nadespam, I use them strategically, 1 frag is just never enough for me)

Perk 2: Stopping Power (for obvious reasons)

Perk 3: Deep Impact or Steady Aim, depending on which map I'm on (I often use steady aim because if I find myself in close quarters against someone with a shotgun, I at least have a fighting chance firing from the hip rather than wasting a precious half-second bringing up the sights)

Custom 2[edit | edit source]

Close Quarters

Primary Weapon: W1200 (No camo, Grip attachment]

Sidearm: Desert Eagle

Perk 1: Grip

Perk 2: Double Tap (I was pleasantly surprised when i found out how useful double tap is with the W1200)

Perk 3: Steady Aim (Surprisingly useful on shotguns since it reduces the spread a bit, causing more damage)

Custom 3[edit | edit source]

This kit may seem strange at first (silencer with no "stealthy" perks? really?) but there is a method to the madness. The Skorpion is surprisingly effective at range, what with its high rate of fire and no recoil. This kit makes for a pretty effective, if slightly unorthodox way of taking snipers out at range before they even know what's going on, and it's still effective in close quarters.

Primary Weapon: Skorpion, no camo, Silencer attachment

Sidearm: USP .45 Silenced

Perk 1: Bandolier

Perk 2: Sleight of Hand

Perk 3: Steady Aim

Custom 4[edit | edit source]

Primary Weapon: M14, Blue Tiger camo, Red Dot Sight or Silencer attachment

Sidearm: Desert Eagle

Perk 1: Frag x3

Perk 2: Stopping Power

Perk 3: Deep Impact

Let me just say here that I LOVE the M14! It's pretty amazing at any range if you have a fast trigger finger, especially when silenced since you can take somebody out at range before they even know they're being shot at.

Custom 5[edit | edit source]

Primary Weapon: Barrett .50 Cal

Sidearm: Desert Eagle

Perk 1: Claymore x2

Perk 2: Stopping Power (or UAV Jammer if I want to keep on the move)

Perk 3: Iron Lungs

A pretty standard sniper kit, but still effective all the same

Other custom kits[edit | edit source]

These are kits i'll switch to depending on the map i'm on or the mood i'm in, but they're mostly standard

CQB[edit | edit source]

These are a couple other CQB kits I'll use on occasion when I dont feel like using my shotgun or skorpion

"Spray Friendly" CQB[edit | edit source]

Primary Weapon: P90 with Red Dot Sight and Digital Camoflage

Sidearm: Desert Eagle

Perk 1: Bandolier

Perk 2: Stopping Power or Double Tap

Perk 3: Steady Aim

"Finesse" CQB[edit | edit source]

Primary Weapon: MP5 with Red Dot Sight no camo

Sidearm: Desert Eagle

Perk 1: Frag x3

Perk 2: Stopping Power or Double Tap

Perk 3 Steady Aim

"All-Purpose"[edit | edit source]

"Any Range" kit[edit | edit source]

Primary Weapon: M14 with Red Dot Sight and Blue Tiger Camo

Secondary Weapon: M1014, no attachments or camo

Perk 1: Frag x3

Perk 2: Overkill

Perk 3: Deep Impact

I'll occasionally use this kit on maps like Bog, Crossfire, etc, where an engagement can happen at any range, and it helps to have an all-purpose kit like this one to help with that.

G36 Assault[edit | edit source]

Primary Weapon: G36C with ACOG Scope, no camo

Sidearm: Desert Eagle

Perk 1: Frag x3

Perk 2: Stopping Power

Perk 3: Deep Impact

As I mentioned before, I dont like the ACOG much, but it does seem pretty effective for engaging targets at medium-long range with the G36 thanks to the fact that it's the only weapon where the ACOG doesnt seem to cause an idle sway increase.

My Custom MW2 Loadouts[edit | edit source]

I'm still testing different loadouts, but here's a few tried and true ones that I like and which have earned a permanent spot in my loadout menu.

Custom 1[edit | edit source]

Primary Weapon: TAR-21 with Heartbeat Sensor

Sidearm: PP2000 with Red Dot Sight

Equipment: Semtex

Perk 1: Scavenger Pro

Perk 2: Hardline Pro

Perk 3: Commando Pro

Death Streak: Final Stand

I'm very surprised I don't see very many people with Heartbeat Sensors online. It's a godsend if you're trying to flush out a camper or take out a sniper. This combined with the fact that the TAR-21 is very powerful even without Stopping Power makes this a very effective kit on just about any map.

Custom 2[edit | edit source]

Primary Weapon: AUG HBAR with Grip

Secondary Weapon: AT4

Equipment: Semtex

Perk 1: Scavenger Pro

Perk 2: Stopping Power Pro

Perk 3: Steady Aim Pro

Death Streak: Final Stand

Unlike in Modern Warfare 1, I've actually found an LMG I really like. The AUG actually is more like an assault rifle with Large Magazine than an LMG. It's got a relatively large magazine (even though it isn't quite as big as the other LMGs); it's accurate, powerful, and it reloads quickly. You really can't go wrong with it.

More coming soon once i get the chance to test out more loadouts.

Custom 3[edit | edit source]

Primary Weapon: WA2000 with Thermal Scope (unless on Derail, in which case I swap it out for a Heartbeat Sensor) and Silencer

Secondary Weapon: M93 Raffica with Red Dot Sight and Silencer

Equipment: Tactical Insertion

Perk 1: Bling Pro

Perk 2: Stopping Power Pro

Perk 3: Steady Aim Pro

Death Streak: Final Stand

Let's just clear one thing up right now: Thermal Scope+Silenced Sniper+Good sniping spot= All 3 killstreaks within a few minutes. Unless you're on a snow map. Seriously, what was the graphics department at Infinity Ward smoking when they made snow WHITE on the Thermal Scope? While enemies also appear white on the scope? Snow is cold. People tend to be not so cold. So why is it nearly impossible to see anyone on the thermal scope on Derail?

Rants aside, I love the WA2000. Imagine the M40A3 from COD4 and make it semi-auto. That's basically what it is, and it owns hard.

Custom 4[edit | edit source]

Primary Weapon: Akimbo UMPs

Secondary Weapon: M93 Raffica with Red Dot Sight

Equipment: Semtex

Perk 1: Scavenger Pro

Perk 2: Hardline Pro

Perk 3: Steady Aim Pro

Death Streak: Final Stand

This is another awesome kit that I discovered completely by chance. I was messing around with different weapons and unlocked Akimbo for my UMP and thought "Why not give it a try?" And OH. MY. GOD. These things absolutely shred anything short of the dreaded 1887s at close range. They even give the 1887s a run for their money if I take the other guy by surprise. Put it this way: I've cleared rooms full of four people. Alone. There's really only two downsides to this amazing setup: 1. Unless you have scavenger you'll run out of ammo faster than you can blink. 2. You NEED Steady Aim if you want to hit anything, even at close range. Other than that, why am I the only person I've ever seen using this setup? On second thought, it's probably best that way. :P

Custom 5[edit | edit source]

Primary: FAL with Holographic Sight

Secondary: SPAS-12

Perk 1: Marathon Pro

Perk 2: Lightweight (haven't earned pro yet)

Perk 3: Steady Aim Pro

Death Streak: Final Stand

This is my hit-and-run kit for maps that are mainly close range like Skidrow or Favela. I mainly use the SPAS-12 in this kit (why everyone thinks it's useless, I'll never know, it's just as good as the 1887s in nearly every way), but I'll switch to the FAL for anyone that happens to be out of range of the shotgun and I can't get to quick enough (and since the FAL isn't affected by stopping power, it works well for this setup).

Custom Killstreaks[edit | edit source]

1[edit | edit source]

4 kills: Care Package

5 kills: Predator Missile

8 kills: Emergency Airdrop

As you can see, I love those crates.

2[edit | edit source]

5 Kills: Predator Missile

7 Kills: Harrier

11 Kills: AC-130 or Chopper Gunner

I've just started using this loadout on maps that are either small, mostly indoors, or mostly narrow alleys (Skidrow for example), which makes it hard to find a good spot to call in an Emergency Airdrop or Care Package. If I can get the 5 kills for a Predator and luck is on my side, the Harrier will get me the last 4 kills I need for the AC130/Chopper Gunner. Then it's pretty much "Good Game" for the other team unless they either get indoors VERY quickly or have a couple guys with anti-killstreak kits who are very quick on the uptake.
