Ever wondered how many people it takes to make a Call of Duty game? Dave Stohl of Activision has the answer.

Stohl told Gamesbeat that the company has over 500 developers working on the Call of Duty series, more than on any other gaming franchise. At any given time, there are four or five development studios working on Call of Duty titles. Of course most of that work is probably not separate project, but assisting the main development studios in their work.

I wonder how long until we see another Call of Duty game, this time made by a completely new studio, instead of Infinity Ward and Treyarch.

The price of the Hardened Edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been announced - it will be $99.99, $20 higher than the previous hardened editions, or £79.99. Do you think it's too much, or is it worth the price (given that it includes Call of Duty: ELITE subscription)?

    The Hardened Edition includes:

    • Modern Warfare 3 in a Steelbook Case
    • 1 year of Call of Duty: ELITE membership (map packs included)
    • Special Founder status on Call of Duty: ELITE
    • Animated Timeline Theme (PS3 exclusive)
    • Juggernaut outfit for avatar (Xbox 360 exclusive)
    • Limited Edition Collectable Field Journal

A blog called Kona's Korner brings us the first photos of the place where Call of Duty XP, the first CoD convention, will be set this weekend in LA.

The pictures were taken by the blogger's friend who helped set up the place. Are any of our wiki regulars going to the event? And if not, are you hyped up for any big announcements that are likely to be made there?

Unlike the first Modern Warfare, which eventually made it to the Nintendo platform as the Reflex Edition, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was never ported to the Wii. However, given that Call of Duty: Black Ops was released on the Wii simultaneously with the PC, PS3 and 360 versions, it's no surprising that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will also follow suit, as has just been announced by Activision.

A brand new add-on titled Rezurrection for Call of Duty: Black Ops has been mentioned in an Activision earnings release. No specific release date has been announced yet, but it's to be released either in August or in September. Like the game itself, it's going to be eventually available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

By the way, did you notice that the initial letters of all DLC so far (First Strike, Escalation, Annihilation, and Rezurrection) spell out "FEAR"?
