Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is released!

It appears that despite no official announcement, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the newest installment in the Call of Duty franchise, may be coming to the Nintendo Wii U afterall. The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare page at the official E3 2014 website has the Wii U listed as one of the platforms for this year's entry in the series, suggesting Nintendo fans may be able to get in on the action. Officially, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is confirmed only for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The page could be an error though, as gamespot points out the official E3 website last year said Sony was bringing The Last Guardian to the show, but that never happened.

There was some doubt about whether or not the series would be returning to the Nintendo Platform in 2014, as the Wii U's slow sales, weaker hardware, and generally low sales numbers likely didn't seem like a worthy venture for Activision, however, this news comes the same days as the reports that Mario Kart 8, the newest installment in the Mario Kart franchise and a Wii U exclusive, boosted hardware sales in the United Kingdom by 666% alone. This boost may have been what led Activision to finally dedicate to the Wii U, or there could be no correlation at all, but I'm sure we'll find out at E3.
