According to financial analyst Arvind Bhatia of Sterne Agee posits, sales of the recently released Call of Duty: Black Ops II are likely to be down 15 percent from the sales of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 at the same time last year. Previously Modern Warfare 3 sales had been down 5% from sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops the year before. If the prediction in sales drop becomes true, than this could be a cause for concern amongst Activision as a possible sign of Call of Duty's decreasing popularity and influence.
This decrease in sales seems particularly strange, considering that Black Ops II made over 500 Million dollars on Launch Day, over 100 million more than Modern Warfare 3 had done the year before.
