I've had just about enough of this crap. I've seen about 10 of this same exact grammatical error in the past 20 minutes:

"Just because you X, doesn't mean you should Y."

Do you see anything? I see lots, so let's begin.

Proper usage of commas alludes to the rumor that they are to be used whenever there is a pause or break for effect in a sentence. Please note that that assumption is


INCORRECT

I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH

The proper usage of a comma for this particular situation is as follows: nothing.

"Just because you X doesn't mean you should Y."

No comma is necessary at this moment. The pause for effect is placed into the sentence at the descretion of the person reading it.

Please take into consideration my frustration when using commas. They are the easiest thing to screw up except apostrophes *shudders* Shotrocket6 04:03, November 29, 2011 (UTC)
