Hey all, Smuff let me do news this week so don't worry, you'll be seeing him and Forever Alone on the scene again soon. So here's the usual breakdown of news for this week.
Call of Duty[]
This week was the calm after the storm. Not much news in terms of Modern Warfare 3.
- The price of the MW3 Hardened Edition was revealed. It's currently priced at $99.99 and £79.99.
- Activision has won the legal battle over the domain "modernwarfare3.com". The website used to redirect to the Battlefield 3 page, now it just gives an error.
- It was revealed that around 500 people are working on Call of Duty at one time.
Call of Duty Wiki[]
Conversely, this week has been busy for the wiki, we've been summing up the massive release of information from COD:XP, as well as sorting out some War Room topics.
- Good news for all the bronies out there, MLP images will not be banned from upload!
- The same goes for all personal images, they are still permitted for upload.
- There are currently 2 RfAs in discussion, one for Drkdragonz66 and one for MLGisNot4Me.
- War Room topics currently open include limiting de-sysop forums to sysops only, custom userpage backgrounds, and a Call of Duty: ELITE wiki clan. Make sure to stop by and have your say!
In other news[]
As many of you should know today is the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks on New York, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C., which cost over three thousand lives. Let it be known that our prayers and thoughts are with all of those who were affected by the attacks.
Image of the week[]
I think for this week it's best to forgo a humourous image and instead have something slightly more relevant.
That's all for this week, tune in next week for news with Forever Alone!
Oh, and one more thing. It's Smuff here, just wanted to say that anyone being so much as even remotely disrespectful towards 9/11 from here on in will be given a block until next year's anniversary of the event. It doesn't matter what you think happened or who did it; the point is 3000 people died one morning and that we're paying tribute to them. Thanks for understanding, Smuff[citation provided] 18:01, September 11, 2011 (UTC)
