Since the announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops II earlier this year, we now know that Call of Duty is moving into futuristic settings. Although Modern Warfare was technically set in the near-future, it still had modern-day equipment in it. This time, however, futuristic technology, as well as a futuristic setting appear in a Call of Duty game.
Over 9 years of Call of Duty, we've fought many enemies. We've fought the German Army, The Japanese Military, a Modern-Day Ultranationalist Russia, and even the Vietcong. Now, we're fighting US Military Robotic Drones. So, now I ask you, what do you think will be next for the Call of Duty series?
