Hey man![edit source]
Shadow Company Lovers[edit source]
Your comments on my P90 blog[edit source]
Thanks for taking the time to comment on my thoughts on the P-90.
First thing: the M41A "Pulse" rifle from James Cameron's Aliens: according to the Internet Movie Firearms Database, this prop was built around the Thompson sub-machine gun, and included the Remington Model 870 and the SPAS-12 "pump grip and heat-shield" . Maybe they got it wrong, don't know. But that was my source.
I've spent on lot more time playing MW2 since I wrote the blog on the P-90. In real life, I have no doubt this is an excellent weapon, especially for "VIP" protection, SWAT teams, etc--since it's less than 16" long. Althought full-auto machine guns are legal here in Nevada, ****** Federal makes it illegal for civilians to own fully--automatic weapons made before 1986. So even here in the "Wild West" we'll never get to play with, let alone own, the best of the new(er) military rifles/carbines. But, in the game, I've found it less and less adequate for effective playing. As doubtless you know, in the game, the 5.7mm round doesn't penetrate walls even thought the M4 Commando (which, of course, doesn't make a lot of sense: the latter uses a smaller round and has a slower cyclical rate of fire).
As for the Five-seveN pistol, apparently opinions differ. At the range most pistols are used (unless you're carrying a hand-cannon like a Ruger Redhawk), firing and putting the target, it seems to me, are more important than, perhaps, esoteric arguments about ballistic performance. Still, some people think the pistol a waste of money. Yours is actually one of the first positive comments I've seen on it.
If I have a choice I prefer the M-4 (w/holographic site, natch), TAR-21 or Steyr AUG HBAR. Especially with the Steyr's second grip. Makes the weapon extremely controllable. Whether this mimics the behavior of a real Steyr, I haven't no idea. If it does, it's a bad-ass automatic rifle.
A friend of mine who fought in Gulf War I has told me that, in pitched firefights (which he ended up in despite his being in 4in mortars), his M16A1 had an irritating habit of muzzle climb; if he had to do it over again, he'd make sure he had an M-4 with the forward grip.
When I wrote the blog, I hadn't yet really gotten into the micro-missions (can't remember the correct term). And, of course, in "Mansion Takedown", the P-90 (tho' it makes one wonder why the Russians would buy Belgian guns rather use weapons from their still gigantic conventional arsenal) is around throughout the game, occasionally, with the ACOG site. (If only there was a way to mount an ACOG on any weapon that can take one!)
I've gotten better with the SCAR-H. When I first started playing, I had a helluva time knocking targets down with the 5-7 rounds it averages most fully-automatics in game. Now I can routinely do it with the SCAR. I've found it particularly effective in "Wardriving" (tho' I'd love it if the thing came with a grenade launcher!).
Oh yeah, this weapon doesn't use clips, either; and it's used all the time in sci-fi shit, have you ever watched any of the Stargate series?
Actually (sorry, the wise-ass in me can't help itself), the term "clip" is inaccurate; magazine, of course, is the correct term. "Clip" comes from early self-loading rifles (e.g.: such as the M-1 Garand) which had an integral magazine into which a "clip" of bullets was inserted.
Nope, can't stand the Stargate shows (as opposed to the movie which is fun, clever escapism). The TVs shows have seemed more like Dr. Who rip-offs than anything else; well, Dr Who mixed with some really, really, really bad space opera).
How those shows have managed to last for more than a decade, when a ground-breaking, stunning achievement like Battlestar Galatica" got only four boggles the mind.
(Regardless of one's opinion of either show, or many more, I'd like to know how a culture invents hyperlight engines but still uses Slug Throwers. FTL: yes. Directed energy weapons: no. Hunh?! If you're a B5 fan, you'll recall a certain 1st season episode in which Garibaldi uses the rounds from his grandmother's .38 revolver to save himself....)
How you been? I've been playing Arma 2 myself, you should really check it out.AdvancedRookie 12:11, September 19, 2010 (UTC)

Quick question do the navy SEALs accept marines? PaPa SmUrF 17:34, September 20, 2010 (UTC)
Ok thanks, what are the marine special forces then? Is marine force recon and STA designated as Special forces? PaPa SmUrF 14:15, September 21, 2010 (UTC)
I was wondering if a Dragonskin armor would stop a 7.62x51 NATO bullet at close range. And how does one replace all the little ceramic disks that are in the armor? Does that need to be done one by one? And does Dragonskin use the standard E-SAPI plates in addition to the little ceramic disks?
PS: Do the Marines use .45 ACP in weapons other than the MEU (SOC) pistol? BTW I heard you got your SCAR-H! Congratulations!

I found an error on the "did you know... " part on the homepage.
One of them says that the stop signs in brazil should say "pare" (portuguese for stop). But that is wrong. Im portuguese and the stop signs says... well stop, and it is also like that in Brazil. idk how to delete, so i would apreciate that you would do so. I agree completely with what you said here. That guy was a complete idiot for thinking he could fool us into thinking he was in the Marine Corps. I know that you are a Marine, and I have a great amount of respect for you, but it really annoyed me that he tried to say he was something he wasn't. I agree with your decision to block him; people like that don't deserve to edit here. Eltomo85 talk 18:14, November 17, 2010 (UTC)
Trolling: An Art[edit source]
Griever. I learned a long time ago (You may remember TMOI's bastardly comments towards me after the death of some of my friends) that whatever a troll says, they're still a troll. Rebutting in the way that you did was, in reality, immature and very uncalled for. I absolutely respect you and the entire military, and could never understand the kind of things that go on there, but you can't take offense to something that's been said over the internet; it's just stupid. If that kid wants to claim bullshit, then I say let him. Everyone knows he's lying, and it has no effect on the wiki whatsoever. The Armed Forces Policy was retired for a reason; the internet is a big ol' lie.
If in the future a similar scenario occurs, I suggest you take different action, whether it be locking the forum, or simply not responding yourself. Callofduty4 agrees in saying that such words were not appropriate in any sense of the word. Keep in mind that flaming back to the troll only makes you as bad as the troll. I know from personal experience how hard it can be to hold back, but you have to push through, or you'll get a shitload of crap for it later on, kind of like this whole message.
I don't care if you have personal vendettas against those who pose they are in the military. It doesn't allow you to flame them, abuse them, and block them indefinitely, period. That guy is probably just a kid. You should be happy he shows such interest in your beloved military. Cut him some slack, and get over it. You don't go round to people and beat the crap out of them for being posers - great, now the next step is to stop being an ass to them altogether. Callofduty4 18:29, November 17, 2010 (UTC)
Hello Griever well I guess my signature will tell you who I am. So you were in the military thats quite cool. don't worry I hate military posers as well. Which is why I will admit I am not nor will be in the near future in any United States armed forces I am admittedly to much of a wimp to do so. Abyway just wanted to say hi and ask whats up.Sniperteam82308 23:10, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Past Dues[edit source]
I've been told that you haven't been on here in a while. You and I both, I suppose. On the off chance that you do get this, though, I wanted to give you something. I have no idea if you'd remember, but it was years ago that I started to write a story. You were one of the people that inspired it.
I'm letting you know that it's finished - and I'd like to shoot a copy your way. My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org - get back to me if you can.
