Welcome to the wiki!Edit

Sandman MW3 Welcome Template

Hello R.I.P Yuri, and welcome to the Call of Duty Wiki! Thanks for your contributions. We hope you'll stick around to make even more!

Have you created your user page yet? It's your own personal page, and you can do anything you want with it! Your user page will also help us get to know you as an editor better.

Here are some links that you may find helpful:

  • Recent changes provides you with a list of pages that other users are currently editing, which might give you an idea of where you can help out.
  • The help pages are a resource for you to use if you are new to wikis or need a guide for editing.
  • The forums are a good place to ask any questions you may have, or start your own discussion.
  • The Call of Duty Wiki's policies and guidelines are some rules for you to follow, and will also help you make better contributions.

Still have questions? Feel free to ask me or contact another administrator. Sysops' names are highlighted in green and bureaucrats' names are highlighted in cyan.

We hope you enjoy editing here, and look forward to seeing you around!

Hello Edit

I have noticed that you have recently uploaded some images that were not licensed properly. Follow this guide to properly understand how to license them. The Wikia Contributor T | C | E | Q 16:16, January 7, 2012 (UTC)

Licensing Your Images Edit

We kindly ask you to please properly license all future images that you upload to the wiki. It is the sole responsibility of the up-loader to license any image he/she uploads to the wiki. When uploading an image to the wiki, towards the bottom of the page there is an option to add a license. Click on the drop down menu; there on the menu in the lower section, you will see "fair use and with permission" options.
  • For images that are game screenshots, use Copyrighted Media.
  • For non-game screenshots (pictures taken from the web etc.), use Fair Use.
  • For images that are not licensed, or images you have made yourself, use Public Domain.

You add the license to the image at the same time you upload it to the wiki. For more help and details, see here. If you have any questions please contact me on my Talk page and I'll be glad to help.

Bad Image Edit

An image you recently uploaded was considered to violate the image policy as it was one or more of the following:
Call of Duty Wiki logo warning template

  • Low quality
  • Contained a banned image effect
  • Concerned real life info, which is not generally allowed
  • Poorly named
  • Incorrect/lack of license
  • Duplicate file/superseded
  • Tampered with a photo-editing program

Please make sure you read the image policy to be sure of the protocols in place for uploading images.
You are still free to upload images; however, please make sure they are up to standards! Continued uploads that do not comply with the policy may result in a block.

Please remember to correctly name your images. Along with that, the transparency and quality on quite a few of them are rather terrible. Twig (Talk) wNJ2zkL.png 04:43, October 29, 2019 (UTC)
Again, Remember to correctly name your images. You are forgetting what game is in the name. Twig (Talk) wNJ2zkL.png 06:01, January 2, 2020 (UTC)
Last warning on remembering to correctly name your images. Any future ones will be deleted if they remain incorrectly named. Twig (Talk) wNJ2zkL.png 20:10, March 31, 2020 (UTC)

Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, No Russian triviaEdit

Hello mate! Did you see the No Russian mission level, when Allen and the others are getting out ? Well, Makarov grabs Viktor, instead of Kiril, because in the original version of the game, Makarov grabs Kiril, while in the remastered version he grabs Viktor. And when Makarov kills Allen, his name is become red, but unlike in the original version, his name is red, just like Viktor's name. That's a different between Original and the Remastered version, you see that different thing ? :) Marec2 (talk) 20:50, March 31, 2020 (UTC)
