Sandman MW3 Welcome Template

Hello Spirit Slasher, and welcome to the Call of Duty Wiki! Thanks for your contributions. We hope you'll stick around to make even more!

Have you created your user page yet? It's your own personal page, and you can do anything you want with it! Your user page will also help us get to know you as an editor better.

Here are some links that you may find helpful:

  • Recent changes provides you with a list of pages that other users are currently editing, which might give you an idea of where you can help out.
  • The help pages are a resource for you to use if you are new to wikis or need a guide for editing.
  • The forums are a good place to ask any questions you may have, or start your own discussion.
  • The Call of Duty Wiki's policies and guidelines are some rules for you to follow, and will also help you make better contributions.

Still have questions? Feel free to ask me or contact another administrator. Sysops' names are highlighted in green and bureaucrats' names are highlighted in cyan.

We hope you enjoy editing here, and look forward to seeing you around!

Strategies Edit

Per COD:NOT#STRATEGY, we do not allow strategies on the mainspace. Please avoid doing so. Thanks! Phillycj 01:48, May 5, 2012 (UTC)

There is a specific sentence in Call_of_Duty_Wiki:Level_rules that *encourages* the creation of walkthroughs.

WaklthroughEdit

It states, "If you have some time, you can give a detailed walkthrough of the level. Use the third person when doing this.
If you don't, you can place a video walkthrough that somebody made on Youtube."
Please write them in third person though. --Yardhog Applejack sigGuitar t-boneTalk to AJ 02:02, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
They were telling the player what to do, rather than giving a delatiled description of the level. They were strategies with "Walkthrough" as the header. Phillycj 02:05, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
A strategy step-by-step demonstration of a procedure or process or a step-by-step explanation of it as a novice attempts it. That is exactly what he wrote, is it not?
--Yardhog Applejack sigGuitar t-boneTalk to AJ 02:08, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
No, as a walkthrough is a description of the level, but he was tellling the user to pick up certain weapons. Rather than saying it is a good choice to do so. Phillycj 02:10, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
Well then, rather than undoing his edit, why don't you just improve it? --Yardhog Applejack sigGuitar t-boneTalk to AJ 02:12, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
I was more concerned about getting them all off the mainspace first. Phillycj 02:14, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
I fail to see any positive consequence that may occur as a result of you doing that. --Yardhog Applejack sigGuitar t-boneTalk to AJ 02:16, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
How about instead of arguing on somebody else's talk page about something as stupid and rudimentary as this, we all agree to help out with mainspace? Last time I checked, AJ, posting a walkthrough to articles doesn't exclude you from improving them, either. I'd like this discussion to end, as I've changed around the wording in the Level Rules policy to match more closely what should actually be in articles. Joe Copp 02:18, May 5, 2012 (UTC)

No Real Life InfoEdit

Hi, and welcome to the Call of Duty Wiki! There's a lot to do around here.
We really appreciate your contributions here, but we have a no IRL, or no "In Real Life" policy. IRL pictures are also not allowed in articles but they are allowed for personal use.
If you have any concerns feel free to ask at the Help desk or on the "discussion" page associated with each article, or post a message on my talk page! Also, please review our policies so that you understand them completely to avoid any future mistakes.
If you have any other questions, feel free to contact an administrator for help. Sysops names are represented in green and bureaucrats names are represented in cyan. Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything!

UTP Edit

Just because a user is not an admin does not mean you can tell them to "screw off" because you "don't give a damn" about what they think. Conqueror of all Zombies (talk) 19:48, November 24, 2016 (UTC)

Bad Image Edit

Specialist Strike Package Edit

Isn't that all already stated above? The paragraph above already says that you get every perk except for Overkill and the strike package eventually grants all proficiencies to the character's weapons, and I don't think it's necessary to explain in another paragraph that equipping Overkill would then offer an advantage because it eventually gives the player's weapons all the proficiencies. It's just the same information once again and kind of redundant. Conqueror of all Zombies (talk) 00:01, April 3, 2017 (UTC)

RE:Edit

I see that you've already set up a request regarding adoption. You should contact Wendy and let her know that EMC is okay with the adoption. Like she told you though, you need to be more active on that wiki and edit every day or two, in order to have higher chances of success in the adoption. RE: Edit

Sorry it's taken me a little while to get back to you. If you're unsure if it's the same person, you could always run a check user, assuming you have the ability (I do not and have never done so, I really don't know what that entails). You can also post over at Community Central asking for assistance in monitoring the wiki or contact Wikia staff and get some responses and helping hands.

Sadly I think you've done pretty much all you can do. Maybe if they keep vandalizing the same pages you can temporarily put them on lockdown. In instances like this with particularly aggressive vandals really all you can do is buckle down and wait for them to get bored. Conqueror of all Zombies (talk) 16:39, November 13, 2017 (UTC)

Just Checkin' In Edit

I was looking through my talk page and came across the message you left me in November about the douchebags/vandals over at the Syphon Filter Wiki. How are things going over there? You still having issues? Conqueror of all Zombies (talk) 08:36, January 7, 2018 (UTC)
