The Valkyrie Drone Hat is an item in Call of Duty: Black Ops III on the Zombies map, Gorod Krovi. It can be picked up from a headless mannequin with a jacket located in the Department Store, in front of the Juggernog machine, next to the desk lit by a small desk lamp.

It is one of three wearable items on the map, the others being the Mangler Helmet and Dragon Wings. All can be unlocked and swapped at will in the same game, but only one can be equipped at a time.

When equipped, players gain the following traits:

In order to obtain the Valkyrie Drone Hat, players have to:

  • Shoot off all the arms on 6 Valkyrie Drones, of which each has three arms to shoot off.
  • Shoot the small red camera on 6 Valkyrie Drones, located on the red lower center of a Valkyrie. It does not physically fall off unlike the arms, but changes from glowing red to not glowing at all.

Both of the above tasks can technically be performed on the same Valkyrie to unlock this Helmet faster, but shooting off all arms causes the Valkyrie Drone to initiate a self-destruct sequence and quickly charge the player. First, all arms must be shot off, as shooting the camera will cause it to explode immediately. The camera must be destroyed quickly in this scenario to get credit for both requirements to unlock this item. In co-op, the progress towards the above two challenges is shared between all players. If at least one player has the Valkyrie Drone Hat available to be worn, it is available to everyone.

Due to the few opportunities in which Valkyries are spawned in on the map initially, it will generally take the first Valkyrie Drone round, the Dragon Strike four wave lockdown, and potentially some random Valkyries/second Valkyrie Drone round to be obtained. As Valkyrie Drones are not too common during Love and War, this Hat instead gains the most value when going for a high round, as they begin to spawn in quite regularly. This causes Electrified Zombies far more often, even more than Manglers.
