War Mode is a multiplayer game mode in Call of Duty: WWII and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. During the mode, an attacking team must complete strategic objectives while the other team defends said objectives. After a round is over, teams will switch, giving both sides a chance to attack and defend. The mode was also planned for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 before being scrapped.
Fight to free the French resistance leaders and stop a train loaded with munitions and supplies bound for the front-lines. Included in The Resistance DLC.
Invade German-occupied Sicily to steal key intelligence for aerial support. Defeat enemy squardrons to allow Allied forces to reach their targets. Included in The War Machine DLC.
Infiltrate a secret German weapons and technology manufacturing facility deep in the forests of Austria to steel and destroy secret technology. Included in the Shadow War DLC.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4[]

War Mode returns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. At launch, a single War Mode experience was available, with more being added throughout the Seasons updates.
Set within the Orlov Military Base. Clear anti-aircraft defenses so armored vehicles can be airdropped, staying close to the armor to break through to the launch site and set up missile overrides.
