The War of Agartha was a conflict fought before time between the Keepers and their brethren, who were corrupted by the Dark Aether.
Overview[]
At the beginning of time, there were only the Aether and the Keepers, among them were two beings named Doctor Monty and the Shadowman. Using the Summoning Key, the Keepers created a physical manifestation of the Aether, named Agartha.
For a time, the Keepers remained in peace until the discovery of the Dark Aether. A faction of these Keepers, led by the Shadowman, became corrupted by the Dark Aether's influence. After creating the Aether Pyramid, a schism formed between them and those Keepers untainted by the Dark Aether.
This has led the Keepers to begin a civil war between the corrupted and uncorrupted Keepers, with the uncorrupted led by Monty and the corrupted led by the Shadowman. Doctor Monty attempted to save his friend from the corruption beforheand, but had became corrupted himself in the process.
The uncorrupted Keepers won the war, banishing the corrupted Keepers into the Dark Aether. These Keepers, with the Shadowman being amongst them would come to be known as the Apothicons. Facing defeat, the Apothicons hid the Aether Pyramid on the Moon.
After the war, the Keepers became the wards of all universes, guardians of the Multiverse, dedicated to protecting universes from the threat of the Apothicons. Agartha itself would also fall under the control of Monty.
