Weapon Blueprints are a style of Weapon Variants introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and making appearances in Call of Duty: Mobile, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Vanguard. Weapon Blueprints offer a unique skin with attachments unlocked for the respective weapon, regardless of the Weapon Level that the player has for the weapon. Often these attachments are also skinned in the same style. Most Blueprints alter the weapon's base model while some reskin the weapon itself. In later updates of Modern Warfare, the Gunsmith system allows weapons to be mixed with other Blueprints, allowing hybrid Blueprint builds.

Weapon Blueprints can be earned via multiple means, such as progression in Battle Pass, purchasing or earning of "Bundles" that include them and earning them via in-game events. Blueprints are also designated by rarities, being Rare, Epic, Legendary. On Call of Duty: Mobile with Season 11 Anniversary update, a new exclusive tier of Blueprint under the name Mythic was added. On Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War with Season One, bringing the return of the Mastercraft Variant, a new tier of Blueprint under the name of Ultra was added. On Call of Duty: Vanguard with Season Two, a new tier of Blueprint under the name Heroic was added.
