The Werewolf is a Heavy Class Zombie featured in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies map Dead of the Night and in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Dead Ops Arcade 3: Rise of the Mamaback. It serves as a replacement for the Stoker, Marauder, Destroyer and Margwa spawns in Dead of the Night. When the route to the Forest is unlocked, a set Werewolf will spawn from the trees .They can be killed using silver bullets once crafted.

After the death of the Shadow Werewolf, they still make their appearance in Cold War Arcade and serve as mini boss along with Margwas.

Several claw marks can be seen in the mansion when completing the easter egg. Some are on the walls, on furniture, on floors. They are mostly committed by these Werewolves due to their claws.

They have multiple of attacks. One of them is a claw attack and will take out half of the player's health. They can bite at close range using their melee attacks. They also have a special ability where they run on all four and jump attack once the player is at close range. This attack can down the player. Notice that when players are out of range, they run on all four limbs like an actual wolf to increase speed and to get close to the players range.

Multiple of them can spawn throughout the forest map and will be impossible to kill without silver shells, however once crafted they can be killed easily when aiming at their weak spot. But it should be kept in mind that they are the most formidable foes in the map and should be killed separately, if not then it can be game over unless the player is dodging the beast's attacks.

Trivia[]

  • The Wendigo and Skinwalker are two distinct but similar Native American legends of witches or evil spirits that are able to disguise themselves as animals.
  • Jonathan Warwick will occasionally refer to the Werewolf as the "Hound of the Wankervilles" jokingly, referencing the Sherlock Holmes novel The Hound of the Baskervilles.
