Where Are We Going is an Easter Egg song for the Zombies map Mob of the Dead. Written by Kevin Sherwood and James McCawley, and sung by the popular game-related music vocalist, Malukah. It is the shortest lyrical song.

It is the first track in the Mob of the Dead Soundtrack, with a runtime of 2:24.

The song can also be played at the main menu or in the Safehouse using the Music Player in Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

Where Are We Going is also the Easter Egg song of the map Blood of the Dead in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The song features new musical parts written by composer Jack Wall as well as new lyrics by Cindy Shapiro while still being sung by Malukah. It is also the third track in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (Official Soundtrack) with a runtime of 5:12.

Activating the song[]

Mob of the Dead[]

Unlike other Easter Egg songs, this one does not require activating objects scattered across the map. Instead, what needs to be done in order to get the song to play is:

  1. Find the Warden's key.
  2. Unlock the electric number pad where numbers can be entered to acquire the rigging for Icarus.
  3. Then, enter the numbers 935 whist in the Afterlife.

The song will then play.

Blood of the Dead[]

Like in Mob of the Dead, there are several steps need to be done in order to get the song:

  1. Build the Spectral Shield.
  2. Open the electric number pad in the Citadel Tunnels and shoot the panel with the Spirit Blast attack of the Spectral Shield.
  3. Enter the numbers 115.

The song will then play.

Lyrics[]

Where are we going from here
Where do we go
Are we all blinded by fear

How do we know, How do we know
Where do we go. Where do we go
How do we know, where do we go
Where are we going from here
How do we know, where do we go

Where are we going from here
Do we let go of all we know?
Are we all blinded from fear
Where do we go when we let go

I feel I'm falling from here
Dont let me go
Is it the calling?
we hear, we hear
how do, how do
we know...

Blood of the Dead Lyrics[]

Where are we going from here?
Where do we go?
Are we all blinded by fear?
Where do we go? How do we know?
Need for survival is clear
We must adhere without an end
Into forever we fall
And wander on and on and on

Dust of a thousand years thrown on your path
And in the aftermath, you'll stumble forward
Mouth full of air resuscitating life
And you'll ascend and carry on and on

Where are we going from here?
Where do we go?
Are we all blinded by fear?
How do we know? How do we know?

In the depth, easy steps
Water flows
Fire burns, all returns
Ashes cleanse the ordinary woe

Where are we going from here?
Do we let go of all we know?
Are we all blinded by fear?
Where do we go when we let go?
Where are we going? Where are we going?
Where are we going? Where are we going?
Are we all blinded by fear?
Where do we go when we let go?

I feel I'm falling from here, don't let me go
Is it the calling we hear, we hear?
How do, how do we know?

Trivia[]

  • The part where the player has to enter the numbers 935 is a reference to Group 935.
  • The video posted by Kevin Sherwood above has the words "taT GgA ccT cag aGa cca cGg att gaC gaa Tca acc" in the middle of the song. Properly decoded, this becomes "LET GO AND THE BEGINNING WILL BECOME THE END".[1]
    • The theme of "Letting go" returns again in the Origins easter egg song Archangel.
  • The song cannot be played on Blood of the Dead in Casual difficulty.
