Worm participated in the assault of a Russian Gulag. He was heard in the beginning of the mission when the squad arrived. He makes it to the bottom of the prison along with Roach and Soap and helps secure Prisoner #627, revealed to be Captain John Price. Upon Price referring to MacTavish by his nickname, he comments "Who's Soap?". Worm and the others escape the Gulag by hooking themselves to a helicopter's zip SPIE rig. He is dangerously close to death as a missile's explosion just nearly catches him as they are evacuated.
