The Wrench is a melee weapon briefly seen in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and available for use in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Call of Duty: Mobile. It also also available for use in the War Mode of Call of Duty: WWII.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare[]

A socket wrench appears in the mission "Captured", being wielded by Jonathan Irons. He uses it to disable Jack Mitchell's prosthetic arm.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III[]

The Wrench appears again as a melee weapon introduced with the 1.04 update along with the Butterfly Knife and the Brass Knuckles. It can only be acquired by supply drops; however, it can be used by bots and picked up after their death. It can also be acquired in Gorod Krovi by completing the time trial in which the player has to finish five rounds in under five minutes. The weapon can be picked up from the bulletin board inside the Operations Center. It deals around the same damage as the Bowie Knife and will kill zombies in one hit until round ten.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered[]

The Wrench, labeled as the Mechanic, is available as a melee weapon in Modern Warfare Remastered. It was added via an update on March 14th, 2017.

Call of Duty: WWII[]

The Wrench appears in the War Mode of Call of Duty: WWII. It is used to mount MG42 machine guns on specific locations of the map, such as sandbags.

Call of Duty: Mobile[]

The Wrench returns in Call of Duty: Mobile. It was added in August 2021 as part of the Season 6: The Heat update.

Undead Siege[]

When the Undead Siege mode was present in the game, the Wrench was available in it as the default melee weapon. It could deal heavy damage to zombies, as well as being capable of reparing the teleporter and turrets.

  • Unusable wrenches can be seen in the campaigns of various other games.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III[]

  • Down the side of the wrench reads "Tyrannosaurus Wrench".
  • In the Black Market trailers, the wrench can be briefly seen with Intensity Camo, despite it not being obtainable for it in-game.
