Biography[]
Shadowfall appears in San Francisco, having a conversation with her client Mr Wong about business matters. During this, Sparrowhawk breaks into their office and Shadowfall quickly escorts Mr Wong to the garage. However, as they arrive, they find Mr Wong's men dead, and are then attacked by Sparrowhawk. Shadowfall repels her, but Mr Wong is shot multiple times, though he survives thanks to a bulletproof vest Shadowfall had given him.
Shadowfall drives Mr Wong out of the garage, and asks about his injuries. But before she can get far, Sparrowhawk attacks again, leaping onto their car and shooting through the roof, wounding Shadowfall and causing the car to crash into a lamp post. She tells Mr Wong they need to move, but is shocked to see more Sparrowhawks on scene.
Despite this, Shadowfall later appears in Chicago, meeting with Ether and her group of operators consisting of Alias, Deadman and Cipher, helping them to escape from Spectre.
Shadowfall drives them to Detroit, Michigan, where Ether's group have arranged a meeting with Rampage and Foxtrot. Shadowfall informs them that she cannot drive through the streets as there is a mass protest going on outside the Atlas Corporation HQ, and they will have to make the rest of their journey on foot. While Ether, Alias and Deadman disembark the vehicle, Cipher chooses to remain in the vehicle, as his head still doesn't feel right after Spectre kicked it, while adding that politics bore him.
Some time later, Shadowfall is seen meeting with Rampage, who Alias introduces her to, while Alias' own group meets up with Frank Woods. She is present during Woods' briefing about Atlas Corporation.
Afterwards, during the Phantom Corps' mission to Memnos Island, she is covering for the team's exfiltration. Following Kestrel's betrayal of the team and the Director's demise, Shadowfall is contacted by Mason and Ether to cover for their exfiltration. Shadowfall notes that something is going on at the party, but is told to ignore it and go pick them up, and she obeys. Later, she retrieves Ether, Dr. Mendelsohn and a wounded Dusk, who notes that Mason had stayed behind to fend off their pursuer.
Following this incident, Shadowfall is soon talking with Rin Yoshida, where she is revealed to have called forth for the Sparrowhawks in San Francisco to join her, having been aware of the legend that surrounds them. She persuaded the Sparrowhawks to join her in devoting themselves to saving lives rather than taking them, which Rin Yoshida is grateful for. When Shadowfall asks about Jun Takeshi, Rin reveals that she had killed him using a bottle of poisoned sake.
Rin asks Shadowfall about Dusk's injury and recovery, which she responds that Dusk is recovering well--she then requests Rin for medical help, but Rin reminds her that Kurohana is an arms manufacturer and not a hospital, and wonders how she can provide for them. Deadman, revealed to have accompanied Shadowfall, asks for Rin to make him a new cybernetic limb.
