Zaballa, also known as Zaballa the Deceiver, is a character featured in Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies mode. She is a deity of the Dark Aether, a member of Kortifex's "Sisters of Agony".
History[]
Zaballa is one of the many Elder Gods present within the Dark Aether. She, along with Saraxis, would come under the service of Lord Kortifex the Deathless, each as members of the Sisters of Agony. While Saraxis would eventually leave, Zaballa would remain loyal to Kortifex, earning the title of "The Deceiver".
Assisting Die Wahrheit[]
After her master bonded with Wolfram Von List, Zaballa would be brought into Earth to assist in Die Wahrheit's war effort against Gabriel Krafft and his Allied operatives. She would attempt to stop Vercanna's attempt to free the Decimator and his shield, although her efforts would be in vain.
Gameplay[]
Zaballa is present in all Vanguard maps, and will usually begin spawning at Round 15. Zaballa can only be damaged by shooting one of her three masks. Either after having one of her masks destroyed or otherwise at random, Zaballa will teleport to another location but still nearby the player.
She also has one primary method of attacking, which is spawning an electrical explosive similar to Saraxis' Energy Mine. There are two variants to this attack; her regular, singular attack which will only spawn one explosive and a variant where she will spawn three lined up explosives, which she will only do after beginning her teleportation phase.
